The Artists’ Residency Programme is the Irish Museum of Modern Art’s studio / residency programme. ARP provides opportunities for artists to research and develop their practice, it supports both emerging and established artists, working in any medium by application or invitation and is open to Irish and international artists.

The residency emphasises the working process rather than the finished product and supports the exploration of new ideas and ways of working.

The ARP studios are located in renovated coach houses adjacent to the main Museum building. Accommodation, consisting of three self-catering apartments and a five bedroomed house, are also located on the grounds. These facilities enable the ARP participants to live and work at IMMA for the duration of their stay.

Each artist on the programme gets an opportunity to display their ongoing studio practice for a two week period in the Process Room on the West Wing, First Floor Galleries at IMMA. There are talks and studio visits organised around the residencies, all of which are free and open to the public.
